Ernie Hooker, CADC II, NCAC II
At Fergus Falls, Minnesota State Hospital I worked in primary, long term and family inpatient treatment, plus I also worked in the counselor training program.

Next I moved to Sacramento California and worked in a residential program for a few months. After that I held a position in Sacramento which was a four year DUI research program that was run by the county, state and the federal government. I also was a consultant for the Sacramento Black Alcoholism Program.

After the research program was completed my next position was for a hospital in Pinole California. I assisted in setting up that inpatient and outpatient program. I held various positions including intern training coordinator until 2006 with the exception four year from 1989 until 1993.

During that time I was director of a dual diagnosis program in a psychiatric hospital in Walnut Creek, California . I also developed that program including an inpatient and outpatient codependency program. I managed an intern program at that facility also.

Dawn Bonner
Is editor in chief of the companion website at LivingLifeBoomerStyle.net and also contributes to this website. She has a background in marketing.

Dawn Bonner grew up in Minnesota--between the city and the country.  This may explain why she is flexible and feels comfortable anywhere geographically.

Bonner's first major career was in the salon industry.  She went to cosmetology school in Richfield, Minnesota.  When she moved to Jacksonville Beach, Florida and could only get a job working in Jacksonville--quite a ways from the beach she lived at, she decided to start her own business.  I She loved the beauty industry and opened three salons in Florida and one in Dallas, Texas.

While she owned and ran the salons she had the opportunity to do business consulting for several of her clients.  Each client she consulted with about their business operations had an annual increase of 30 to 50 percent profit to their bottom line.
